Health Care Reform

I read the article "White House Reduces Expectation of Passing Health Care Reform"

The recently elected republician Scott Brown is changing the pace of things. The election of this Republican has broken down the votes for Health Reform. Obama's team stated that "We can and should get health care reform done this year" I hope there is a change. The actuality of this occuring is very minute. Democrats may elect to pass portions of health care in a piecemeal fashion or even punt the entire issue if the appetite isn't there. Brown's election gives Senate Republicans their 41st no vote against any bill requiring a 60-vote majority. He campaigned that he would use it to stop health care, a pledge he effectively kept even before entering Congress.

HEALTH CARE PLEASE PASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In class today my assignment was to choose 3 bills that my committee of Government Reform could consider.

1.) **The Family Smoking Prevention and Tobacco Control Act (H.R. 1256) contains important provisions that make changes to the Thrift Savings Plan under the jurisdiction of the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform.** <3

2.) **H.R. 35 would overturn Executive Order 13233 issued by President George W. Bush and restore procedures to ensure the timely release of Presidential
records.** <3

3.) ** H.R. 36 would require the disclosure of donations to presidential library fundraising organizations and make information about all donations greater than $200 available to the public.** <3
